My Story

The Explorers Club (originally the Little Explorers Club) was established in 2022 at our very own masjid, NMIC. What began as a small weekly mothers’ and toddlers’ group has grown into a structured Muslim home-educating club serving families here in Northampton. We are incredibly grateful to the masjid for allowing us to use the premises over the years. Today, our Explorer members — 25+ children and counting — are fundraising for this campaign in support of their local masjid. About the Campaign

Northampton Mosque & Islamic Centre (NMIC UK) Alhamdulillah, over the past few Ramadans, your support has brought our Masjid Extension Project to its final stage. In Phase Two, we unified the three roof structures into one and opened up the entire upstairs, completing the main structural works and transforming it into a large, open prayer and community space. With your donations, we have also upgraded the sound system, improved CCTV, secured funds for carpets and the wudhuu area, and begun preparing the first floor to become fully operational. We are now looking to raise £70,000 to complete the final phase of works, which includes: • Gas and plumbing works • Heating and air conditioning installation • Plastering, painting, flooring and internal finishes • Remaining labour and contractor costs We are closer than ever. After years of steady progress, this final push will allow us to fully open the first floor for salah, Jumu’ah, Taraweeh, classes and community programmes. Let’s make this the Ramadan we finally complete the extension — and secure a lasting Sadaqah Jariyah for generations to come.
