My Story

Our masjid has always been a place where hearts gather for the remembrance of Allah. It is a place where we pray, where our children learn the Qur’an, where the community comes together in faith and brotherhood. But today, we are facing a challenge — our masjid is no longer large enough for the growing number of worshippers. Every Jumu’ah we see people praying outside, in the corridors, or struggling to find space. Our children need classrooms, our elders need comfortable space to pray, and our community needs a masjid that can serve the generations to come. The expansion of this masjid is not just about building walls. It is about building a future for our community. It is about creating a house of Allah where more people can bow in sujood, where more children can learn the words of Allah, and where more hearts can find guidance. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.” Imagine standing before Allah on the Day of Judgment and finding a home in Jannah because you helped build His house on this earth. Even a small contribution can become a mountain of reward with Allah. So today we ask you sincerely: support this expansion project. Give what you can, whether it is large or small. Every brick, every prayer, every charity given for the sake of Allah will be a witness for you on the Day when we will all stand before Him. About the Campaign

Northampton Mosque & Islamic Centre (NMIC UK) Alhamdulillah, over the past few Ramadans, your support has brought our Masjid Extension Project to its final stage. In Phase Two, we unified the three roof structures into one and opened up the entire upstairs, completing the main structural works and transforming it into a large, open prayer and community space. With your donations, we have also upgraded the sound system, improved CCTV, secured funds for carpets and the wudhuu area, and begun preparing the first floor to become fully operational. We are now looking to raise £70,000 to complete the final phase of works, which includes: • Gas and plumbing works • Heating and air conditioning installation • Plastering, painting, flooring and internal finishes • Remaining labour and contractor costs We are closer than ever. After years of steady progress, this final push will allow us to fully open the first floor for salah, Jumu’ah, Taraweeh, classes and community programmes. Let’s make this the Ramadan we finally complete the extension — and secure a lasting Sadaqah Jariyah for generations to come.
